Ultimate Content System: Scaling Seotistics

Use Data Or Be Used By Data!

The August 17 issue of Seotistics is here for you!

I've talked about content automation before but now I wanted to show you a VERY good use case.

This was inspired by my dear friend AR Henedy, Founder of ContentMaps, in the Seotistics Discord community (link at the bottom).

More evidence the true peak is hidden there πŸ‘€

This issue was supposed to be about Ecommerce but I guess we do it next time.

Please move this email to your Primary inbox or reply to it. This is to prevent Seotistics goes into spam by accident. Gmail users can read this tutorial to do it.

The Problems & Goals

As a content creator, the main issue is coordinating the bulk of my content across different systems: LinkedIn, website, newsletter, etc.

It looks trivial to you maybe but trust me, it's a LOT of data!

For this reason I had to spend the last year studying a viable system to make my life easier.

I recently found a good solution for my problem!

The idea is simple: rent a VPS (Virtual Private Server, aka a remote computer) and put your stuff there.

You can upload your business data and use something like Hermes Agent to manage your workflows.

The idea sounds too optimistic to be true... but color me surprised.

To make it work, you need to provide it an LLM and my choice was DeepSeek V4 Flash 0423 (cheaper than their last model, 0731).

The goal is to increase visibility, since other financial measures are also positively affected by what I produce.

Stack Overview

Hermes Agent is the star of the show, while recently been the top pick for agents.

It's a self-learning agent, meaning that it learns from your past conversations and is able to connect the dots.

"But Marco, any agent can do that!"

Yes but Hermes makes it super easy to actually get value from your data:

  • Persistent -> it remembers your past interactions and adapts
  • Skill creation -> yes like Claude but much better
  • Connects to (almost) everything

As said before, my material is scattered across multiple sources:

  • Obsidian -> social media posts
  • WordPress -> my blog
  • Excalidraw Plus -> some cartoon-ish sketches

And we could also add competitors, they have some cool material as well πŸ‘Ώ

So a good summarization of the system is as follows:

This is a perfect setup for a future case study.

Luckily, I've been recording the content I post on LinkedIn inside Obsidian... because I told you, LLMs need that.

My laptop hosts Obsidian and my VPS connects to it via an SSH tunnel.

A SSH tunnel is a private connection, in this case connecting my VPS to my laptop.

The downside of this approach is that my laptop needs to be on for the tunnel to work.

I didn't want to make crazy tricks with this one so that's fine.

Inside The Stack

As I told you from my past Seotistics issues, I'm working on an automation in n8n.

Well, I actually finished and I keep honing it by this point...

This automation I am also running in my VPS, meaning Hermes CAN trigger it and use services like DataForSEO, BigQuery and so on.

This is where Web Data comes in, as I also have BigQuery connected.

GA4 and GSC data is invaluable, now also consider DataForSEO for competitor analysis.

This is how you use data to do something meaningful.

Many providers just do the basic setup and boast about accuracy.

Who cares, I need to take action and make decisions.

I WANT TO USE MY DATA.

How I Will Use It

2025 and 2026 have been super busy years for me and I will restart posting on my website this month.

My main issue is time and wasting hours in boring and dumb tasks.

For sure, actual content writing and design is on me since I hate having plain AI content (unlike what we often read).

So far my plan is simple:

  • update and publish articles
  • find gaps in my content vault and which articles I can draft
  • test different social media formats
  • get "closer" to organic competitors

The #1 area of interest for me is the website, so producing more great articles is definitely my ace.

Monitoring websites is also important BECAUSE I can get fresh learning material and "competitor" intel.

My content philosophy is realistic and pragmatic, you can't compete with quality only, you also need quantity.

One great article can bring you massive visibility but not dominance over a market.

OK... So Is Content Done For?

No the opposite, you need orchestrators and people who are able to combine sources and process workflows.

I don't believe in the traditional figure of the Web Analyst, which is OK for small businesses but not so much for the rest.

This use case isn't the typical stuff you read online... but it's practical and covers a real gaps.

Many B2B businesses have outdated content operations (or no content).

If you are an Ecommerce, you can also do something like this BUT for your catalog.

Next week I will show you another cool topic 😎 Until then!
